This son of a gun knows the meaning of the word commitment. Born in South Africa, he doesn't fear cold water and sharks, and spends half of the year under the ocean.
He doesn't mind about going over the falls or getting smashed into the reef and once he decides to go in a wave, he puts the head down  and paddle like hell. 
I saw with my own eyes an unsuccessfully grabrail airdrop under a thick lip on a low tide slabbing G-land.
Besides this he`s a true charger and masters the art of tube riding. 
His name is Neil Havenga, for us, just Africa.

The high level surf performed by boozers in G-land is impressive, specially for a person who lives in the farm, like me.
Dave Thomas is the resident photographer from one of the camps, and in the night, he's always drunk, searching for fights and fun at another camps.
