Credits surfing: John Eldridge camera: Mathilda Friström edit: Karmakaze music: Niels Nielsen sinkswim.co.uk Sink Swim is a no-budget art house short set in a tropical idyll of freedom, warmth and waves. Two fictional characters become separated in this beautiful yet brooding film.. Do you know the meaning of hardcore? Spencer Pirdy show us. An all day surfing, without any jet-ski, not even to paddle out at Mavericks. Spencer Pirdy takes a roadtrip to Mavericks with cigarette-smoking carwash-employee Daniel Shea who documented the whole thing. Spencer gets the first two waves of the morning at Mavericks. Followed by many Mavs locals. They then proceed to catch a few waves North in San Francisco only to return to the scene of the crime the day later, where Spencer goes left at Mavs.
They are not the first. Peter Mel has already gone there to paddle some years ago to plant the seed. But this time was a little different. 20 to 25 foot open ocean big mammas were being ridden as humanity has ever imagined. I just wanna thank for this guys, they made through the one of the last frontiers and are proving that we can make it without machines. Always a pleasure.
