El Gringo can be a lovely wave, but there are some big conic urchins in the bottom, just waiting to fuck up your ass.

Heavy surf at El Gringo. The video effects are a little tacky, but the surf is for adults.

Once again, despite all the "Circus", there is a beautiful scene in surfing. No big names, no big companies. Just surf, just paddle.

Everybody is looking for Fiji right now, but we can't forget that there are other places firing, and with real chargers tackling the waves. Guys that don't care if there are cameras on the line up, guys that just wait for a big swell all year long to go gamble. 
Deadmans is a rare wave in Sydney and the guys didn't think twice to paddle in to those slabing beasties. Fust for the cause.

That was a legendary day at Barra da Tijuca. The waves were big, hollow fast and unpredictable. 
I selected the top four in the closeout category. Peterson Marchese, Felipe "Gordo" Cesarano, Bruno Frene and Dennis Tihara was the highlights of this category, but in my humble opinion the battle is between Gordo and Marchese.
